Otto Von Troscke, CIO, SUSI Partners
"The 2016 conference gathered the most influential solar investors and capital providers in Europe. The conversations and panel discussions were outstandingly good with excellent debate in prominence. Looking forward to 2017"
John Mullins, CEO, Amarenco
"As a project developer and equity investor I found the Solar Finance and Investment Conference to be an outstanding opportunity to learn and network with people for all areas of the low carbon world and in fact all parts of the world in general. From the wide-ranging and deeply inspiring and motivating post-COP21 address from Sir David King to the nitty-gritty minutiae of institutional investment and the innovative world of new approaches such as crowd funding, everything seemed to be covered. Every session gave ample opportunity to put questions to a panel of industry experts. I congratulate the organisers at Solar Media for their efforts in pulling together such a comprehensive, inclusive and enjoyable event."
Ian Beath, CEO, Renewable Power
"With its prime position at the start of the year, this conference always draws a crowd and has become a must for my calendar to catch up with key people and trends for the year ahead"
Louise Wilson, CEO, Abundance Investment
As you know, there are industry conferences aplenty. SolarMedia had clearly put a lot of work into selecting and getting good groups of people, and also getting them to work well together to make for interesting sessions. I thought the topics were well chosen. I also liked the way that more detailed or technical matters were interspersed with higher level items in the agenda, so that I ended up listening to sessions I might otherwise skip - and learning something as a result! The length of each session was well chosen and having more panel sessions and fewer presentations tended to avoid the always-dull sales pitches. All round, well done.
Emma Tinker, Director, HG Capital
It was a high quality event with an excellent set of attendees and speakers, with very high level of coverage across significant industry participants. The programme was well put together and the event was very well managed. Good choice of venue also with lots of space for people to have break-out discussions.
Giles Clarke, CEO, Primrose Solar
The event was excellent – good speakers and topics, very good attendees and a lot of “energy in the room”. I also like very much the value add Solar Media bring with their own “deep” sector knowledge as the event organiser and the way they help make connections and conversations happen
Philip Bazin, Head of project finance, Triodos Bank
"The event was clearly a huge success. Despite the challenges facing the European solar industry the conference was exceptionally well attended by a high quality of delegates and speakers. Presentations balanced hard facts and figures with detailed insights from the industries dealmakers. It is sure to be an event that those active in the solar industry look forward to attending regularly"
Mehul Bhimiani, CEO, Ager Capital funds
